I am making my 50th canoes now. I learned how to make it when I saw my father and grandfather make it. Canoe is very important for living in this island. We use it for fishing, going to the farm, carrying fire woods and so on. It is a “Must” item in our lives. I would like to keep these tradition and culture for the future.
