A lot of people have a christian religion that climate change won’t happen. But scientifically we know that it is happening, so we have to be prepared. Climate change is affecting the whole of the Pacific as well as the rest of the world. If we don’t control it now it will get out of hand.

Tuvalu is a small country. All we can do it is try to convince the world with our perspectives. It’s up to the big countries to make a change.

So to these big countries I want to say, please come to Tuvalu and experience what we are experiencing. Instead of talking about the impacts, come and see it with your own eyes and then make the decisions. A fair decision doesn’t benefit just Tuvalu; it benefits the world.
